New Music: Lizzy Young – Oh! Jupiter

From Paris to New York to Barcelona, Lizzy Young has led a well-travelled personal and musical life. That’s something you can hear on the moody electro of Oh! Jupiter from her recent album, Coocoo Banana.

Chamber pop meets electro here, with a smoky and deadpan vocal adding an air of noirish sophistication – and dare I say it decadence – to the proceedings. Oh! Jupiter does have a monochrome feel but brings to life a myriad of shades within that sometimes-stark palette.

Lizzy Young’s Oh! Jupiter and Coocoo Banana can also be streamed on Apple Music, Spotify, and all the usual places. Head over to Young’s Instagram account and throw her a follow to keep up with news about the song, album, and Young herself.
