New Music: Palindrones – Animus

Futurepop with a darker, almost trance-like demeanour, Animus is the latest single from London-based electronic duo Palindrones.

Uplifting but with a hint of melancholy in the arrangement, Animus is an excursion into positivity, certain to get your brain thinking and your feet moving. This is a song to be enjoyed, especially with others in moments of happiness and communality. If you’re familiar with Ashbury Heights and Dreams Divide, you’ll find a lot to love here.

“Animus is the spiritual companion to Anima, from our 2023 album Chapter One: With Fearful Velocity,” says the duo. The Anima and Animus are representations of the unconscious Feminine and Masculine aspects in the human psyche.”

“The songs together represent the union of Palindrones’ two halves, Karen and Jamie, and how our connection flows together to create the greater whole of Palindrones. Animus is a song about standing as one, in the face of fearful odds and shining a light against the darkness!”

They add about the accompanying visual clip, “For this video, we invited our friends to join us in a joyful celebration of the shared human experience; ‘the two become the many become the one.’”
