Holographic Love is the forthcoming single collaboration between Greek electro legend Ria Mazini and BBC Radio championed electronic producer Mark Corrin. The track is a catchy, dynamic slice of virtual reality inspired sci-fi electro-pop. The single is released by Manchester’s Valentine Records on the 25th November and will also feature remixes including ones from AnalogueTrash’ synth wizard Vieon and Lucifer X. Listen to it – listen to it right now.
Ria Mazini is the former lead singer with the popular Greek electro band Mikro. She has featured on many successful singles in her native country, including “Mikrotronik Plasma”, “Gefyra”, “Chrisalida” and “Paradise” and has also collaborated with ambient artist Miktek. Ria has also performed live at the Athens Olympic Games festival, and has played many major concerts alongside the likes of Depeche Mode’s Andy Fletcher, Ladytron and Morrissey. Her music has also regularly featured on Greek television stations such as Mad TV.
Mark Corrin’s early releases under the name Shirokuma were frequently broadcast on the legendary John Peel Show on BBC Radio 1, and his latest solo work has very recently featured on BBC Late Junction with Nick Luscombe. Mark has also previously collaborated with many artists including Damo Suzuki from the cult Krautrock band Can and Warp / Domino Records artist Max Tundra. He is based in Manchester in the UK, where he also presents a weekly music radio show on Salford City Radio.
The single release will coincide with the two day Foundations Festival at the Kings Arms in Salford on the 25th & 26th November, which is a collaboration between AnalogueTrash and Valentine Records and features live sets from artists on both labels including Mark Corrin and Vieon, plus special guests. A version of “Holographic Love” will feature in Mark’s live set at the festival as will the retro sci-fi inspired music video.
