New Music: Sweet Tempest – Love And Motown

Sweet Tempest is the Copenhagen-formed, Berlin-based synth-pop project of Luna Kira and Julian Winding. Love And Motown is a particular highlight of their new Going Down Dancing album, a late but deserving entrant for Album of the Year lists.

More sensual and slinky that the dancefloor refinement of the album version, the single’s take on Love And Motown is perfectly summed by its title. It carries an aura of 60s pop and 80s electropop gloss, while drenched with a passionate undercurrent that yearns to be released. Dance to this with your bedroom eyes in full effect and I suspect you’ll never be lonely.

Love And Motown and Going Down Dancing are out now via KIKIKIX and both are available to stream and download via Bandcamp. The album will be a hit with fans of Purple Disco Machine, Chromatics, and Little Dragon.
