New Music: The Modern Strangers – Pass the Lighter

On the back of a UK-wide tour, The Modern Strangers’ new single sees the Tunbridge Wells quintet deliver a track that manages to be both intimate and anthemic in Pass the Lighter – check it out below.

Though unexpected in such an indie-oriented song, the sophisticated and glossy production perfectly showcases the subtle infusions of funk and AOR that give the track a fresh and engagingly upbeat sound. The vocals have an air of knowing sophistication about them, even seductive at times, as the lyrics make Pass the Lighter a feel-good, fun and memorable track.

Pass the Lighter is out now, so why not head over to the band’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter socials for information on how to stream or download the song, as well as upcoming live dates and releases?
