New Music: My First Time – Workwear

There’s already a lot of buzz around Bristol’s My First Time, even though Workwear is only their second single. Watch the video – which contains flashing images – and find out what all the justifiable fuss is about.

The track, which is out now via Submarine Cat Records, sounds like it has bottled the raw energy of their impressive live performances and released it in a studio setting. Every element of Workwear is fierce: from the fuzzy fire of the guitars, to the eviscerating vocals and lyrics, and the pounding drive of the drums; it all fits together wonderfully.

Workwear – which will appeal to fans of Home Counties, Courting, and English Teacher – shows that not only are My First Time ones to watch, but also that their label is establishing an impressive roster of artists.
