New Music: Rude Films – Horseshoe
Rude Films show no signs of slowing down after releasing their self-titled album in March, following Through the Light with sister single, Horseshoe.
A physical and sonic flipside to November’s Through the Light, on Horseshoe they display their melodic and more sensitive side to their sound, all the while not hiding the strong theme of the lyrics.
Less glacial and less raging against the night, it allows their post-punk influences to break through, as it reverses the quiet/loud/quiet structure of Through the Light. Those tempestuous moments remain for sure, but the smoother flow of Horseshoe highlights the craft and care Rude Films put into their music.

Horseshoe and Through the Light out now and streaming on Spotify and Bandcamp on limited-edition 7-inch clear vinyl via Cracked Ankles. Check out Rude Films on Facebook and Instagram for more details and band updates.
