New Music: Mass Minor – Nowhere Now

With their Beyond the Edge of Reason album only weeks away, Mass Minor have unveiled the panoramic featured track Nowhere Now.

The lead single from the album is driven by taut EBM-referencing electronics, displaying a cleaner, more polished take on the genre’s 80s origins, while incorporating modern dark clubbing themes and textures.

It acts as a counterpoint to the unbridled emotion of the vocals and the sense of desperation and destiny that fuels the lyrics, framed by guitar riffs that may offer no respite but add to the number’s cinematic aura. The Austin, Texas based project has a finely tuned balance of human and machine here, with hints of AFI and Blaqk Audio, and I can’t wait to hear how it spools out over an entire album.
