New Music: Anto Dust – A Larkin

Anto Dust is the musical creation – as a solo act and a band – of Anto Cossu. The Italian musician and composer is now based in London and she totally bowled us over with her new single A Larkin.

A Larkin, which Anto says is “an ode to her favorite poet but also her favorite man,” is pastoral and personal in nature, though the expansive and rich sounds of classic 4AD acts like Lush and Dead Can Dance are the main musical points of reference here. That’s filtered through a gauze of psychedelic folk and a delightfully fresh and breathy vocals delivery, rendering the listener defenceless to the song’s charms.
