Denver-based electronic duo chitchat (Madisen Vogel and Josh Kern) hit the blog not so long ago with their track Right Here, and now they’re back with Play It Cool, another sublime piece of electropop. Check out the hilarious video below.

Vogel’s vocals create a feeling of endless summer, like an always-present warm breeze, comforting and caressing the listener. There’s also a melancholic post-club, post-relationship ambiance to the track, that sense of a gradual comedown subtly reinforcing the dual message of sadness and empowerment that pervade the lyrics.

Madisen Vogel had this to say about the song: ‘I briefly dated the son of a famous musician once. He was really egotistical, emotionally unavailable, and overall just thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. Play It Cool is about that guy.’

Play It Cool is out now and available to stream or download on all major platforms including Spotify and Soundcloud. Be sure to check the duo out over on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to show them some love, and keep up with news about the duo as well as new music and live appearances including Denver’s Larimer Lounge on the 29th of November.
