Latvian experimental musician Evija Vēbere says her music traverses sounds and genres: ‘from light and playful melodies to wild, existential and schizophrenic depth of sound’ as she puts it herself. Want to know more? Just watch her latest video below, for her track Mīlniekiem un Visādiem Citiem.
The song (which in English in translates as For Lovers and All Kinds of Others) has a wonderfully lo-fi feel, eccentric and energetic as takes some minimal electro beats, Vēbere’s left field vocals and warm tones to serve up a delicious mixture of art pop and old school dance stylings.
Think Björk meets Underworld, and you’ll get a flavour for how original and at times unusual the song is.
Mīlniekiem un Visādiem Citiem is out now, and will also feature on Evijas Vebere’s solo album Sirdsbūt which is due for release this September – keep an eye on her Facebook and Instagram accounts for more details!
