New Music: FelixThe1st – friday 13th

New track friday 13th sees FelixThe1st combine his wildly original and eclectic sound with a video that skewers many of the tropes of classic 70s and 80s horror movies.

Taking from genres as diverse as early electro contemporary post-punk, the icy and sometimes ominous arrangement is unified around the haunting autotuned vocal performance and visceral lyrics he brings to the party.

FelixThe1st is also known within the dance scene as Ché and has worked with the likes of The Spice Girls and Stormzy in recent years. He cites artists like Elton John, David Bowie, Playboi Carti, and Tyler, The Creator as influences, which is a hint to the creativity at play here.
