New Music: I Want Poetry – Mirrors of the Sky

Though drenched in electronica-infused textures, Mirrors of the Sky evokes the vastness and beauty of nature at its most primal and awe-inspiring.

It’s mood music to a large degree, though with the vocal melody always guiding the listener through the wonders of the forests and lakes of our youth, not only bringing us back to moments of childhood joy, but also touching on a Celtic concept of being at one with the natural world around us.  

And those gorgeous, ethereal vocals? Well, if you have a weakness for the mysticism of Kate Bush and Ionna Lee, then prepare to lose yourself in the electro-utopia soundscapes of I Want Poetry.

Says the band, “We all have an inner child. Sometimes it’s hard to hear over all the noise of this busy life, but it guides us, and it’s what keeps our hopes and our dreams alive.”
