New Music: Primal Baby x Parrish Smith x Mila V – Nightwalker

Netherlands-based duo Primal Baby make their third appearance on the blog with the industrial trip-hop of Nightwalker.

Primal Baby, comprising producers Parrish Smith and Mila V, frame that around some EBM beats, with their mounting dark tones and oppressive, claustrophobic cadences inferring the creation of a body horror of our own making.

The duo has revealed that the lyrics are “an exploration into the cause and effect of addiction,” and as the vocals of Mila V become ever more gothic and imperious, that oppressive feeling, using the metaphor of the Nightwalker to describe the downward spiral of addiction, one of being apart from the world, becomes all-consuming.
