New Music: Talk To Her – PLD

As the October release date for their Pleasure Loss Desire LP approaches, Italian post-punk outfit Talk To Her have dropped a video featured track, PLD.

The defining theme on PLD is indeed post-punk, but Talk To Her have their own take on the genre that looks at times to Violator-era Depeche Mode to help express some of its rock/electronic hybrid tones and textures.

Also bridging those themes are ebbing and flowing layers of EBM and industrial, so much so that fans of bands as diverse as Boy Harsher, Nine Inch Nails, and Combichrist will find enough in PLD to pique their interest in the album.

The band describes the song as “a deep dive into the abyss of detachment: an emotional vortex where pleasure and loss blur into one another.”
