New Music: The Know – YOU

Formed in 2018, The Know comprises musicians Daniel Knowles and Jennifer Farmer. The husband-and-wife team evokes sounds of decades past on the wistful and ethereal YOU.

The song features on their current EP and is a soothing, seductive blend of shoegaze and dreampop with subtle nods to yé-yé and chamber pop artfully crafted into the song’s very being. Farmer’s vocals lift the track to the heavens, offering the listener an opportunity to lose themselves for a few precious minutes.

Says the duo, “YOU details a relationship gone wrong and the feeling of isolation, regret and sadness that ensue.” It’s a theme that dominates the album, they add.

The song, which features on EP2, can be downloaded on Bandcamp and streamed on YouTube Music and Amazon Music. The EP is also available on Bandcamp in vinyl format.
