Tiffy (Tiffany Sammy) dropped Don’t Wanna Talk back in May, and with a vinyl release incoming -you can buy it on Bandcamp – she’s given us a sneak peak of the B-side, Something For Nothing.

Warm and fuzzy, full of indie charm and a deliciously winning vocal performance, it’s a song that’s wonderfully more than the sum of its parts. A spiky melody that feels like it could go off the rails at any moment, and an array of tempos and moods switching places with ease, it embodies so much of what was good about the heyday of British and American indie in the 80’s. Sure that does lend it a retro sound at times, but Tiffy’s vocals add a touch of modernity, wit, and class to the track. Mostly, the song has a real sense of spirit and joy to it that you’ll immediately find endearing – and a whole lot of fun to listen to.
