New Music: KYŁO – Circles

Toronto-based electronic musician KYŁO recently dropped her Exit EP and one of the particular highlights of the five track releases is her catchy yet thoughtful new single, Circles.

The hushed vocals lend the song a brooding, almost melancholic air; something the lyrics reinforce with a quiet but sensitive determination. The music very much sets the mood for those elements: rich and expressive, as the textured take on trip-hop and downtempo serves to create a delicate, reverberating palette for such sensitive subjects.

They had this to say about the EP: “Exit explores the dynamics of just that; endings. Whether it be the ending of a relationship, a certain path in life, or even death itself…it speaks to the changes one goes through when things end and you are forced to go through certain feelings, emotions, and everything that goes along with that.”
