New Music: Emily Magpie – All is Silence

With her Let’s Talk About The Weather album due on the 3rd of April, 2020, Bristolian Emily Magpie has released a video for new track, All is Silence. You can watch it below.

The primal fusion of folk and electronica on the song makes for an unusual but energising listening experience. Add in the universality of the message that lies within the lyrics, delivered by a voice that is possessed of a captivating quality that’s full of both clarity and emotion, and you get a song that carries real emotional weight.

Magpie has this to say about the upcoming album, which features All is Silence: “I wanted to make an album which sounds on the surface like alt-pop music, and is full of collected sounds from our times and the world around us. I feel like there’s a lot of hope and a yearning to connect to something deeper, and reassess what’s important, but also dark undertones of where we could be headed if we don’t wake up and change.”

Emily Magpie holds an album launch party on the 17^th of April – you can find out more on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. All is Silence can also be streamed on Spotify.
