New Music: GLOSSER – Disco Girls

Riley Fanning and Corbin Sheehan are GLOSSER, based in Washington D.C. The band looks to dreampop for inspiration but brings new shades and dimensions to the genre with new single Disco Girls.

Mischievous and inventive, Disco Girls references the music of acts like Phantogram and Beach House in its hazy, summery warmth. There’s a pleasing and cheeky nod to a slightly more electronic sound in the arrangement, plus some 70s synth tones that frame the light touch of Fanning’s vocals perfectly.

Says Fanning, “Disco Girls is about being young, and how that time is both terrible and great.” Adds bandmate Sheehan, “The track was the start of something new for us, and Riley’s lyrics and story made it really easy to piece the song together and create a new vibe.”

Disco Girls will feature on GLOSSER’s forthcoming DOWNER album – keep an eye on their Twitter and Instagram socials for news on its release date, track listing, and more. You can also stream Disco Girls on Bandcamp and Spotify.
