Steeped in the sounds of Irish and European folk, and with a bewitching story in the lyrics to match, MONOLITH, has a haunting but vital quality to it. That contrast comes in part from the interesting duality at the heart of the song created by the vocals and arrangement. Having both a sense of timelessness but also rising tension, it creates an enthralling cinematic vista that comes to life in both the song itself and the accompanying video.

MONOLITH is inspired by the storytelling of the artist’s Irish heritage and the cult-classic film Picnic at Hanging Rock. The song charts the course of a girl discovering a sublime, natural, rock monolith.
