New Music: Holy Wire – Dream

We’re becoming big fans of Holy Wire, the solo electronic project of Austin-based producer Alain Paradis. Dream sees him explore the less electronic elements of his sound and the result is sonic bliss.

The track opens with Paradis’ mournful vocals sparring with a hypnotic beat, before flourishes of post-punk and synthpop weave their way into the track’s very essence. The woozy and appropriately dreamy sound of Drab Majesty comes to mind, but also the emotionless rhythm of New Order. Unusual, but it certainly works – and how!

Dream and more music from Holy Wire can be streamed on Spotify, Deezer, and Apple Music, while the track and Holy Wire’s back catalogue can be downloaded on Bandcamp. Catch up with the artist on TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram to learn more about the person behind this thrilling sound.
