New Music: Iglu & Hartly – Swayze

Not only is Swayze by Iglu & Hartly inspired by the iconic actor and singer mentioned in the title, but the video also riffs on one of his most memorable films. It brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye.

The track sees the band do what they do best. They take from the past, refreshing and remodelling pop and rock from the 80s and 90s to serve up an indie bop that this a tribute to love and Patrick Swayze himself. You can imagine the great man busting some moves to this.

Says Iglu & Hartly main man Jarvis Anderson about this perfect soundtrack to endless summer nights, “While writing this song I imagined a femme fatale whose wild spirit could only be matched by a man like one of Swayze’s iconic characters.”

You can listen to the Swayze and some classic Iglu & Hartly tracks on Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Spotify. Catch up with the band via Facebook and Instagram to discover more about upcoming releases and live dates.
