New Music: Platronic – Memories

German-Finnish duo Platronic bring a hint of ABBA to their synthpop and futurepop based sound on Memories. While the song may focus on the end of a relationship; it exudes a danceable and oddly upbeat quality. I can see myself singing along to this on a dark scene dancefloor in the near future.

Says vocalist Kay of the track, whose driving electronic arpeggios and subtle trance flourishes will appeal to fans of VNV Nation and Neuroticfish, “When I first listened to the final version of Memories, I literally was dancing to it with tears in my eyes.”

Memories is out now and is available to download on Bandcamp or stream on  online music platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. If you’d like to find out more about Platronic, be sure to check them out on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
