New Music: Paradame – The Bodysnatchers
Though the accompanying video shows some flashes of humour, The Bodysnatchers shows Seattle-based rapper Paradame is deadly serious about her music. Another collaboration with producer J.Lee Mezus, the track’s bass heavy beats and rock flourishes are a fine match for the smooth vocals and sharp lyrics.
The song uses a popular 50s trope to make important observations about modern society: “The Bodysnatchers uses a classic science fiction horror story as a metaphor for modern society, referencing how people in the story were replaced by emotionless duplicates, blindly following the status quo.”

She continues, “It illustrates a subtle threat of well-intentioned people completely losing the plot without realizing it, by just going along with a narrative without questioning anything.”
The Bodysnatchers is also streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. Paradame is currently working on a new album. For updates on that, as well as learning more about the person behind the music, head over to their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds.
