New Music: Louise Lemón – Tears as Fuel
Inspired by a relationship breakup, Tears as Fuel sees Swedish musician Louise Lemón delve into the pain that remains when the love has gone. It’s the vocals that’ll break you and make you fall in love with the song, effortlessly smoky and full to the brim with heartbreak at its most raw.
The arrangement traverses a place between moody trip-hop beats and smouldering rock tones, amplifying the emotional complexities of the lyrics. Awesome stuff from The Queen of Death Gospel.
Says Lemón about Tears as Fuel, which will feature on her upcoming Lifetime of Tears album, “When all you have with someone is tears, you will drink those up like they are wine. I started telling myself, if love is true, he’ll truly hurt you, cause why else would there only be these tears.”

“When you have nothing, pain is something, so sometimes you’d rather hold on to that than be left with nothing. The musicians I play with went above and beyond incorporating their passion and making this pain come to life and become something that is love.”
Tears as Fuel and more music from Louise Lemón can be heard on Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Music. Lifetime of Tears will be available on all streaming platforms on the 23rd of February via Swedish label Icons Creating Evil Art.
