New Music: Death Drive – Adrift Haze

Awash with Dark Italo energy and laden with an EBM attitude, Adrift Haze is the delicious and devastating second single from London-based duo Death Drive.

The track feels and sounds like a counterpoint to West End Girls, as the arrangement brings to mind not just Pet Shop Boys, New Order, and early Madonna in their 80s pop pomp.

Carine Fierobe’s vocals add a strong female presence, as rich in emotion as the lyrics are cutting in their retelling of a story the duo describes as “…a tale of childish naivety crushed by unattainable love.”

Adrift Haze and previous single Love Me can be found on Bandcamp, and are streaming on YouTube Music and Spotify. Death Drive play The Wood Shop in New York on the 4th of April. For gig details, hit up the band on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.
