New Music: Little Miss Echo – Hover

Hover finds Boston, Massachusetts based Little Miss Echo taking an excursion into the upbeat, melodic reaches of shoegaze.

Courtesy of the vocals and lead guitar, the band tweaks with the standard shoegaze template, especially as they wind into each other when the Beach Boys-style vocal harmonies kick in. Ride, Stereolab, and Teenage Fanclub are bands that come to mind on listening to Hover, indie rock with that melodic shoegaze flair I mentioned above, full to the brim with glorious, jangling noise.

Hover can be downloaded on Bandcamp and is streaming on Apple Music and Spotify. The band plays Moon Over Salem on the 12th and 13th of September – head to Little Miss Echo’s Instagram feed for details of that, as well as all the latest band news.

Moon Over Salem is a volunteer-led benefit festival in Salem, Massachusetts, that raises money for scholarships and the DIY venue Moon Base One.
