New Music: Lunacy – Frozen In Time

Frozen In Time, the new single from Lunacy, presages the band’s third album, The Crisis of Existence, which is out in early 2026.

Its hard-edged EBM intro soon becomes the backdrop for a song that brings haunting, witch house style vocals to bear on a funereal synth sound. The balance of mood and melody made me think of guitar-focused genres like post-hardcore in terms of the way it triggers the listener’s emotional responses, and it uses both of those to maximise the impact of the track.

The video for Frozen In Time also confounds expectations, an industrial take on a folk horror theme, leaving you not quite sure what you experienced but knowing that you rather perversely enjoyed it.

The Crisis of Existence, which Lunacy has described as the last chapter in a trilogy of albums, will be released on Friday the 13th of February 2026 via Dedstrange. It’s up for pre-order on vinyl on Bandcamp – check out Lunacy on Facebook and Instagram for album and artist updates.
