New Music: Stinkus – I love you, trackstar

The title track of his new LP, I love you, trackstar is Stinkus at his most reflective lyrically, but also most upbeat and indie tonally.

Taking the form of an internal dialogue, the lyrics cut close to the bone in both the lighter and darker moments, but that’s what makes the track such a cathartic emotional and artistic experience for the listener.

You’ll maybe hear moments of your own life in the song, feelings you may not be comfortable with at times, but Stinkus will remind you that there is another side to your life, one where love exists – and so should you if the opportunity presents itself.

Says Stinkus about the track, “The song is a love letter to myself. I am hyper self-critical and suicidal, and this is both sides of me talking to myself. One side saying I’m never good enough, and the other saying I’m tired, and I love you for trying.”

I love you, trackstar can be heard on Spotify, YouTube Music, and Audiomack – for more listening options, check out Stinkus on Instagram.
