New Music: Pine Barons – F.A.C., Pt. 1

Published On: January 29th, 2026|

TV MOVIE, the fourth album from Philadelphia’s Pine Barons, experiments with indie and pop, finding an emotional and spiritual connection between the two.

The band, fronted by KC Abrams, channels a trickling and trippy indie arrangement here, one layered with cascading synths, into a dazzling pop-facing sensibility. At first it wrongfoots you but quickly gets under your skin, most of all around the liquid and lilting chorus.

In a different tempo, F.A.C., Pt. 1 could be a sad banger or a mournful elegy, but the spot it finds between those two polar opposites is what makes the track so emotionally affecting.

TV MOVIE is out now via Grind Select and can be picked up on Bandcamp in a cherry red vinyl edition. Head to the band’s Instagram and Facebook socials for band news and details of upcoming live dates.
