New Music: Stella Lovell – Get Away

With her debut EP set to drop next month, Seattle’s Stella Lovell has shared the intimate and contemplative Get Away.

The second track from the EP, it follows February’s Delicate in exploring the nature of love and relationships in a fashion that is dry and direct and, most of all, relatable in the story it tells.

Maybe it’s something in the water in Seattle or down to the city’s storied musical history that gives Get Away a grunge-like attitude, raw and expressive; yet highly melodic in an almost alt/indie manner. If you like the distinctive indie sounds of Feist, Stina Nordenstam, and Japanese Breakfast, then Stella Lovell’s music is a worthy addition to your listening roster.
