New Music: The Howlers – Viper

With a new album in the can, and set for release later this year, The Howlers have shared indie rock and roller Viper.

Viper will feature on the band’s Heavy album, which is out on the 9th of October and sees the band allowing the more emotive and unfiltered, not to mention darker, side of their music freer expression. Lyrically it offers an acute and incisive take on a dysfunctional relationship, serving that up to the listener in true indie rock style. “Viper speaks to an experience of being totally drawn towards someone even though you can see the red flags, the desire for all of us to willingly make bad decisions for the thrill of what comes next, regardless of consequences,” says the band’s frontman, Adam Young.

“You’re lost in the moment together. But no matter how much you kid yourself into believing the Bonnie & Clyde fantasy, they will always cause you pain in the end.”
