Amille is a Stockholm-based artist and songwriter who has dropped the sparse but captivating White Lies as a precursor to her debut Deep Sea EP – out 31st May.
In common with other Scandinavians singer-songwriters like MØ, Tove Lo and ALMA; Amille concentrates or writing club and chart friendly songs that nevertheless have a real sense of musical and emotional gravity at their core, eschewing bubblegum fripperies for something more cerebral and substantial.
Her slightly husky, lived-in vocals lend a sense of authenticity to the lyrics, the minimal but catchy beats and synths making White Lies a song that can be listened to repeatedly in more intimate surroundings, not just enjoyed in a club setting.
Amille describes White Lies in these poetic terms: “This is a dance, cry, goodbye song. It is about a love story that doesn’t feel endless anymore.”
White Lies is released via ART:ERY Music Group and can be streamed or downloaded via all major digital outlets – you can find out more here. You can catch up with news and music from Amille via Facebook and Instagram.
