New Music: Cat Valley – My Body
Based in the American Pacific Northwest, Cat Valley’s My Body skewers the current ‘debate’ around reproductive rights for women by boiling it down to its core message: ‘My Body, My Choice.’
The track will feature on the band’s upcoming Bingo Queen album and is possessed of a righteous and rightful fury. A defiant and declaratory call to arms as well as a bruising hardcore punk celebration of women’s autonomy, the blistering solos and impassioned vocals will ring true with fans of Dead Kennedys, Bikini Kill, and Destroy Boy.

Bingo Queen, which the band discloses will explore themes of trauma, aging, and self-love, is released on the 15th of September and is currently up for pre-order on Bandcamp in digital and CD formats.

The quartet has a weekend of gigs lined up to mark the album’s release including one at Make.Shift Art Space in Bellingham, Washington on the 15th and an all-ages gig the following day at The Rabbit Box.
Head to Cat Valleys’ Instagram and Facebook accounts for ticket and venue details, plus further streaming options for My Body. Cat Valley is Whitney Flinn, Abby Hegge, Kristen Stanovich, and Melanie Sehman.

100% of the proceeds from the sales of this track will be donated to the National Network of Abortion Funds, an organisation that splits donations between over 95 local abortion funds.
