New Music: ENEQUIST – Northern Light

ENEQUIST is a half Dutch, half Swedish electronic artist from the Netherlands. Now resident in Berlin, he says he moved to the German capital to immerse himself in what inspires him most: ‘a city whose nocturnal rhythms seem never-ending.’ You can get a sense of that perpetual motion of the metropolis on his latest release, Northern Light and its accompanying video which was directed by Elvis Wesley.

The song has the feel of a city being watched at night from a distance, haunting lyrics and bewitching vocals intertwining with the slowly evolving rhythms of people and industry in action.

You can see and feel all the details but it is the grand picture, the panorama of overall motion and emotion that is important on Northern Light.

The track is the debut for both ENRQUIST and his label, Northern Light is out now via  Church of Eden and you can stream the single via iTunes and Spotify.
