Karindra Perrier is the songwriter and driving force behind Dutch band Faradays. Along with band members Erik Brouwer (synths), Jesse Buitenhuis (guitar), Thijs Visscher (bass) and Thomas Bosveld (drums), she creates a rich and light electro-rock sound on new single Snow.

A taster for their upcoming EP, it certainly whets the appetite. With Perrier’s vocals bearing a striking and sonically seductive resemblance to Frida Sundemo and Susanne Sundfør, it’s something that also comes through in the song itself.

There’s a real attention to songcraft and musicianship flowing through Snow; the bright, bouncy and catchy quality to the arrangement and melody perfectly reflecting that crisp and light sensation of snow falling, blanketing everything for a few pristine white moments.

It’s a very reflective, insightful song – Perrier and co had this to say about the inspiration behind it: “All of us are here temporarily, like snow falling from the sky. So now that we are here: let’s dance before we touch the ground.”

Snow is out now on all major digital streaming services – you can find out more here. You can keep up to date with Faradays by checking out their Twitter and Facebook accounts.
