New Music: Gen – Runaway

Runaway is the second single from the upcoming Gen EP Fallen Angel which is set for release this October. Its moody yet glossy take on downtempo and electronic pop has hints of early Grimes, but also the dark pop heights of Billie Eilish. A winning combination in my opinion!

We should all keep an eye out for the five-track EP if Runaway and previous single Can You Hear Me are indicators of the quality pop coming our way.

The accompanying video captures not only the underlying temperament of the song, but also the story of the lyrics, which Gen has revealed detail the travails of an angel on the run in the city at night.
