New Music: Glass Spells – Empty Road

Over the years, San Diego’s Glass Spells have supported the likes of Alice Glass, Meg Myers, and PRAYERS. Very diverse electronic acts for sure, yet all a good fit for the moody analogue tones of songs like Empty Road.

Glass Spells have a very distinctive sound. Tania Costello’s breathy, occasionally icy vocals dovetail perfectly into a song that’s full of modern angst and classic electro sounds. There are the most delicate hints of coldwave in the arrangement as well, however, with a melody that wants to draw the listener in, as the lyrics work their way into your inner soul.

Empty Road features on Glass Spells’ Mirrors EP which you can download and listen to on Bandcamp. You can also check out the EP and more of their music on Spotify and Apple Music, while you can discover more about the band via their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
