New Music: Isadora Eden – Ghosts

Isadora Eden is a Denver-based musician whose sound has drawn comparisons to acts like Mazzy Star, Nick Drake, and Lucy Dacus. You can hear some of that – and more – on new single Ghosts from her upcoming all night EP.

The stripped-down vocals/guitar setting of the opening minute or so gives way to something rich and intricate but just as effective. Comparisons with folk and ambient indie/shoegaze music first come to mind when listening to Ghosts. It’s as if Phoebe Bridgers was fronting Slowdive or Cocteau Twins, giving the song an escapist, beguiling sound.

You can find out more about Isadora Eden and her music on Facebook and Instagram. You can stream Ghosts and Eden’s back catalogue on Spotify and Apple Music, while the all night EP is due out on the 5th of February and can be pre-ordered Bandcamp.
