New Music: Jenny Colquitt – No One Loves Me Like You

As well as being a member of U.K. Americana outfit ELY, Jenny Colquitt has been gaining increasing attention for her solo career. She draws from pop, indie-rock and folk rock on new single No One Loves Me Like You.

It’s a real barnstormer, thanks to a vocal performance that evokes comparisons with Eva Cassidy and Alanis Morrissette, and an anthemic edge in the arrangement similar in tone to Elbow or Coldplay at their most expansive and engaging.

Reveals Colquitt about the lyrics, “The track tackles the narrative that the power of our love is so much more supreme than anything above us despite us being so inferior to the power and mystery of the universe.”

“The characters in the song have a longing for their lover, and when they look at the moon, they are reminded solely of them. This is increased by the reality that they can always look at the same moon no matter where they are in the world… I think this is my most romantic track to date.”

No One Loves Me Like You and more music from Jenny Colquitt can be downloaded via her Bandcamp page. Her music can also be heard on Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer. Further listening options and details of a UK tour in May/June 2024 can be found on her Instagram and Facebook socials.
