‘Bedroom studio music’ is such a misnomer these days as the sounds produced in such seemingly domestic environments can often rival professional studios and well-funded artists. The sunny and sublime passerby by kelz is proof of that.

The breathy vocals and chilled acoustic opening are captivating right from the get-go. Hypnotic but with a hint of danger in the lyrics, the latter is often hidden in the progressively lush and summery tones of the arrangement. Escape can be a wonderful thing at times, and getting lost in songs like this can be a joy, it doesn’t hesitate to remind us of our own mortality.
