New Music: KESMAR – Is It Me Or Is It Love

Nathan Hawes is a 23-year-old Sydney based producer and songwriter and the creative force behind KESMAR. The easy-going retro jam of Is It Me Or Is It Love is from their upcoming ALWAYS CHASING RAINBOWS album.

The song would fit in the with yacht rock genre, as it expertly references the witty AOR and soft rock sounds of the 70s. The arrangement has a lush and occasionally spiky quality, allowing the vocals and lyrics to explore relationships in an upbeat yet heartfelt manner. Yes the lyrics may hint and emotional turmoil, but that doesn’t distract from the smooth and engaging nature of the track.

Is It Me Or Is It Love and more music from KESMAR can be streamed on Apple Music and Spotify and downloaded on Bandcamp. ALWAYS CHASING RAINBOWS album is released on the 31^st of March via Nettwerk Records – pre-save info can be found here.
