New Music: Monolink – Swallow

Steffen Linck AKA Monolink  takes an experimental, eclectic approach to electronic production, at times adopting a rock structure on his tracks such as on recent release Swallow.

The track, which comes from his Amniotic album, is an affecting and emotional musical journey as mournful guitar musing takes you by the hand and leads you through a brooding arrangement populated by futurepop progressions and Linck’s tender, captivatingly and fragile vocal performance.

It’s both comforting and unsettling, like a voyage through known places to an unknown destination – a concept with which the APESFRAMED directed video is perfectly in tune.

Amniotic is out now via Embassy One, and there’s also a collection of Swallow remixes available. Monolink has a series of concert and festival appearances lined up in the next few months, you can get more information on Facebook.
