New Music: Still Forever – Flesh Market (Video Première)

Manchester-based Still Forever has been busy since we spoke to them in March on their Holocene Shift album release. Another album is on the way, and we are privileged to be able to première the video for the lead single, Flesh Market.

The track, which is the first single from Synæsthetic – their third album – sees them introduce a more pop-oriented element to the post-punk and darkwave sounds of Holocene Shift. The vocals retain their glacial thrust and tone, wrapping themselves around the timely lyrical content, giving the listener an engaging and thought-provoking experience.

Speaking about the single, Amy says, “After Holocene, I wanted to produce something with more energy, and so many of the tracks on Synæsthetic have a much more beat-driven feel to them.  Flesh Market deals loosely with the challenges of being female in a male-driven industry and the ways in which women are objectified and belittled, quite often simply because ‘that’s how it’s always been,’ and treated in ways that men generally aren’t.”

You can catch up with Still Forever on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, where you can find out more about the artist, their music, and the release of Flesh Market. You can listen to more of their music on Spotify and Bandcamp.

Flesh Market is out on November 27th and features a remix of the title track by Yorkshire’s ‘qveer glitch vvitches’ Pastelence, and an extra track featuring spoken word vocals from artist and writer Carlie Martece.
