New Music: Stripethree – Post-Truth

Post-Truth has a post-everything feel to it, with a sound that has elements of rock and goth but an aura about it that’s enchanting yet hard to define.

The way Brighton, Michigan based Stripethree melds those sonic themes together is distinctive. His vocals, for one, have the phrasing of David Byrne but with an alien rumble in the style of 70s and 80s Bowie.

That adds to the outsider ambience of Post-Truth, as the analogue-leaning nods to post-punk and the darker end of rock amplify that sensation of an outsider viewing an oncoming apocalypse.

Post-Truth and previous releases from Stripethree can be heard on Spotify and Apple Music – for artist news and other listening options, head to Instagram.
