New Music: Waves_On_Waves X Marvel83’ – Runaway

Runaway is the opening track on Live Wire On The Sunset Strip and sees Los Angeles based Waves_On_Waves team up with Prague’s Marvel83’ on a real chillwave stormer.

You could slot Runaway into the San Junipero or Drive soundtracks and it would be totally at home. A mix of nostalgia and technology, laden with emotion and boasting a set of lyrics that tugs at the heart strings, the song hits the mark in terms of mood and melody. Driving that ambience home is a standout vocal performance that maxes out on melancholy, amplifying the night-drive gloss of the song.

Runaway, Live Wire On The Sunset Strip, and more music from Waves_On_Waves can be downloaded on Bandcamp and streamed on all major digital platforms including Apple Music and Spotify.

Live Wire On The Sunset Strip also features collaborations with the likes of Timecop1983, Niky Nine, and Mike Haunted. For the latest news from Waves_On_Waves, head over to their Facebook  or Instagram socials. You can also pick up Genesis – the 2024 album from Marvel83’ – right here.
