New Music: Widdendream – Adrift

  • New Music: Widdendream - Adrift

Californians Widdendream are a dark wave/synthpop duo that take some of the more sombre nuances of electronica and fashion a more immediate, poppy sound, as you can hear on Adrift.

With Mei-Lee Chen on vocals and Alex Clark providing the electronic wizardry, it evokes the seemingly conflicting musical spirits of Giorgio Moroder and Clan of Xymox.

A memorable and catchy melody allies itself with an arrangement that would fill the dance floor at your local electro-goth night, while retaining an accessible sensibility and ethereal yet moving vocals.

Adrift comes from the duo’s In The Night album which you can listen to on Bandcamp and Spotify.
