New Music: Possessor – Sleepwalker

Possessor is a New Goth electronic music duo from Los Angeles. Vocalist and songwriter Blaze Powers and bandmate John Bonilla explore the darker side of life on new single Sleepwalker.

The track, which from their recently released Fatal Fixation EP, explores gothic sounds and electro rhythms with great confidence and considerable panache. Blaze Power’s vocal performance is reminiscent of Elena Alice Fossi of Kirlian Camera, icy at times yet highly expressive.

Sleepwalker has a deliciously heavy bass line, hints of Italo and early New Order in the pads and synths, but above all it has a sleek yet irresistibly organic lustre to it.

You can listen to Sleepwalker and all of the Fatal Fixation EP on Apple Music, Tidal, and YouTube. Instagram is the place to go if you’d like to find out more about Possessor and their music.
