New Music: Bailen – Nothing Left To Give

Sibling trio Bailen show they have a wonderful way with a vocal harmony or two – and a catchy soft rock melody – on Nothing Left To Give. The track will feature on the band’s sophomore album Tired Hearts.

The song opens with Julia’s lilting vocals, before her siblings add their own special touches on a track that evokes favourable comparisons with classic Fleetwood Mac and the folkier oeuvre of Beach House. Nothing Left To Give is the sound of a band at the top of their game.

Says vocalist and guitarist Julia about Nothing Left To Give, “It came from feeling so overwhelmed that you no longer care if everything goes wrong. The song is a mantra to help me crawl out of a depression hole, to help me clean my room for the first time in a while, call a friend when I need to talk, or keep an overwhelming day in perspective, even when it feels like you won’t survive it.”

Tired Hearts comes out on the 5th of May via Fantasy Records. You can pre-order the album CD or one of a pair of two vinyl editions on Bandcamp. The vinyl ships on or around the 19^th of May.

Bailen are currently embarking on a marathon 25 date tour of North America. For venue details and ticket availability, check out the band on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
